Summer holidays in Lofer

Lofer, a typical Austrian village, has often been used as setting for films due to its wonderful nature and landscape. The meadows, the “Alms” and the mountains may be taken
as ´main actors´ in a lovely scenery.
The Austrian way of life, the various facilities and opportunities for activities, the typical culture of our region will make your holiday special for sure.
Lofer can be regarded as the heart of the valley (SAALACHTAL) and offers relaxation as well as sport adventures either by cycling up or round the mountains, walking or hiking on the mountains ( Loferer Steinberge, Reither Steinberge), rafting on the river Saalach (World Championship course for canoeing), crazy golf in the village centre or real golf courses not far away by car.
Especially during the summer time many events or festivities take place which are part of the local culture. In this way villagers and guests can celebrate and come together.
A weekly highlight is the concert of the local musicians in the centre of Lofer.
There are numerous sightseeing places in the near surrounding which offer good reasons for trips either to Salzburg, Berchtesgaden or Zell am See, just to mention a few of them. We will kindly give you advices!
