Elizabeth Arthotel - the new 5 Star hotel in Ischgl
5 stars for comfort with art & style
Authentic alpine design
Luxurious yet comfortable, a hotel yet a gallery: the ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL in Ischgl impresses with the modern accommodation in authentic alpine design and unconventional gallery for contemporary art.
Starting in the 2017/18 winter season
The hotel will be a complete work of art with a modern glass façade, an exciting roof terrace, stylish wellness area – and a fifth star.
Unique views and perspectives
After extensive renovations, the ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL sparkles with a completely new look. Glass panels replaced the dark wooden patios, resulting in a modern, low-key façade with unique views and perspectives. Viewed from the outside, it looks like a canvas on which the snow-capped mountain peaks of the Silvretta reflect sunrays and cloud formations, and the 5-star hotel exterior also appears as a work of art. From the inside, the glass façade opens up a view of the snow-capped Ischgl mountain environment and the ski slopes, which are just a stone’s throw away from the hotel. The innovative lighting concept of lighting designer Bartenbach ensures optimum lighting conditions, selective lighting accents and a completely harmonious façade image.
Relaxation at the highest level
The top floors of the ARTHOTEL are dedicated to relaxation. After a day on the slopes, guests can relax in the steam bath and saunas on the 6th floor. A bit higher up, on the 7th floor of the hotel, massages and a well-equipped indoor pool invite you to relax. Floor-deep glass panels provide a light-flooded pool area and allow an unimpeded view of the ski slopes on the Prennerhang. Elegant accents highlight designer pieces such as dual recliners from B&B Italia and a lighting concept from Bartenbach. A special highlight is the pool itself: it extends directly to the glass panes, thus conveying a feeling of endless expanse.
The pool area takes you right to the new roof terrace, which was built during the façade renovation. High above Ischgl, the terrace attracts guests with a trendy fire place made of stone and glass, fur-covered couches and a magnificent view.
5 stars leave no wish unfulfilled
Designation of the 5th star makes it official: the ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL leaves no wish unfulfilled. In the new Aloft Spa area with an indoor pool and various saunas, guests can relax at the highest level. The 41 rooms of the hotel are captivating with much glass, lavish wood and high quality natural materials. The style is luxurious, yet authentically alpine. “We are committed to simple, understated elegance without any frills, in soft natural tones and high quality materials,” explains Mirjam Aloys, Managing Director of ARTHOTEL. The suites are impressive with a lounging area, a bathroom with a tub and rain showerhead and a walk-in dressing area.
In addition to the first-class furnishings, the ARTHOTEL is convincing with its high quality if service and incomparable VIP service. Whether it is a matter of a helicopter flight, limousine trips or ticket reservations, the ELIZABETH team attaches great importance to fulfilling all the wishes of their guests.
International cuisine at the Gault Millau Chef’s Hat level
With its modern interpretation of international dishes, the team around master chef Thomas Zechner is impressive. Zechner knows his craft – he was already active in the Gault Millau Chef’s Hat Val’dor Restaurant of Johann Lafer, the Überfahrt am Tegernsee Restaurant and the Restaurant Obauer in Werfen. In addition to the award-winning cuisine, you should also see the ARTHOTEL wine cellar. Exceptional rarities and an extensive assortment of excellent Austrian and international wines in all price categories make the right wine selection possible for every dish.
First ARTHOTEL in the Alps
With the ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL, the Aloys hotelier family conceived the first hotel in the Alps dedicated to art. The corridors and rooms serve as presentation space for numerous works of contemporary art. About 40 percent of the pieces come from the family collection and the remaining portion is provided by different galleries under an annually changing theme. In the coming 2017/18 season, the Thoman Innsbruck Gallery will present a collection from artist Herbert Brandl. Among other things, a special highlight of the exhibition includes works the painter specifically created for the ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL. Of course, in addition to admiring the works in the ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL, you can also purchase them.
Ski-in & ski-out
If you want to be first one on the gondola in the morning, ELIZABETH ARTHOTEL has the best tickets! Located next to the valley station of the modern Pardatschgratbahn, it is only a few steps before you can easily get to the Silvretta ski area. It is just as easy to get back to the hotel room after your last run – or to the Schatzi Bar, which is also located right in the ARTHOTEL.
Après ski around the ARTHOTEL
At the end of the main ski run directly at the hotel is the “Schatzi”, as Ischgl insiders call the bar. DJs and legendary dancers in the Tyrolean dirndl make for the ultimate party atmosphere here. Right in front of the ice bar on the Elizabeth slope, the Ischgl ski school regularly organizes its night show. Visitors are fired up with adventurous performances on skis, snowboards, a laser show and, finally, a bright fireworks display.
