Cross-country tracks in the Ursern valley

The Ursern valley offers ideal conditions for cross-country skiers.

In the Ursern valley, cross-country skiers will discover a total of 28 kilometres of tracks - for both classic cross-country skiing and skating. There is also a floodlit night track in Realp from Monday to Sunday from 6 to 9 pm. The track access points are in Andermatt at the passage beneath the Bäzberg (Giessen), at The Nordic House and at Andermatt Reuss (Resort), in Hospental at the railway station and the Restaurant zum Dörfli and in Realp at the biathlon centre near the railway station. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are available at the Restaurant Zum Dörfli, in Realp at the Biathlon Centre and in Andermatt at The Nordic House.

Theme track
Gloria and her friends Selma and Sämi are totally nuts about the cold season. Therefore hibernation is out of question for them. They rather spend their leisure time on the cross-country ski tracks in the Ursern valley - they are real pros by now.
Using five simple exercise boards, the animal trio shows how cross-country skiers can improve their technique and have a lot of fun at the same time.
The theme track "In Gloria's footsteps" is located on the two-kilometre-long track section "Sea" and is suitable for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts, young and old. The start is marked with a large starting board and is located next to The Nordic House in Andermatt.

For the use of the cross-country ski tracks in the Ursern valley there are daily, weekly and seasonal passes. They also include the use of the railway between Andermatt and Realp; cross-country skiers can therefore get on and off at all stops on this route without having to buy a ticket every time.
