When it comes to Alta Badia, most people may think of Ladinian kitchen and pizza, unique mountain ranges in combination with picturesque villages, legendary ski races and of course a lot of Dolce Vita. But wait, there’s more! Besides mainstream tourism, there’s a special highlight nobody should miss: the Snowpark Alta Badia!

Progression-sessions with a view

Located right in the heart of the massive Dolomites, Snowpark Alta Badia and its amazing panorama are definitely worth being paid a visit. Majestic peaks (and various valleys, that should be listed on your freeride map) are surrounding the park and attract many visitors every year. But whoever thinks that Alta Badia is just known for relaxed sunny rides in the Dolomites is wrong. After all, local crews such as the Pirates as well as many international riders prove year after year that Snowpark Alta Badia also guarantees progression and variation for all levels. So, let’s find out what riders can expect from Snowpark Alta Badia for the season 2019/20.

Hard facts about smooth lines

Five areas, six lines and a total of 39 obstacles guarantee that everyone will find something to shred at Snowpark Alta Badia. The Easy Line with beginner-friendly kickers and chilled Butter Boxes allows an easy-going start into the day and lets all rookies work on their first tricks. Whoever has already passed this point can go crazy on the Medium Jib Line. Rails and more challenging boxes make sure that skills get pushed and new tricks are on the schedule. Located right next to the Jib Line, you find the Medium Kicker Line with jumps in three different sizes and a Multi Jib Funbox. Looking for some variety and creative lines? Then check out the Top Section, the most playful part of Snowpark Alta Badia. The Snake Run right at the entrance offers an alternative entry to the park in a banked slalom style. The highlight of the park will once more be the Advanced Kicker Line, providing two booters with 11m and 13m and some sweet airtime. But that’s not enough: park designer Konstantin Iordanidis and his crew will include one or another extra-surprise in the setup.

Next generation showdown

Talking about surprises – get excited for this season’s highlight, because on February 9, 2020 the QParks Tour will return to Snowpark Alta Badia. The Rookie Battle Alta Badia is the first-ever QParks Tour Stop exclusively for the young generation and promises a massive slopestyle-showdown for all riders under 18 years. Terrific prizes and important points for the QParks Tour overall ranking are waiting for all participants. Therefore, all young guns should mark this day in their calendar.
