The Basel BeerTour takes you on an excursion into the local craft beer scene. Craft beer is becoming ever more popular in many countries, with small breweries sprouting up all over. However, this popular beverage was being enjoyed in Basel long before it began to be referred to as such: at the Fischerstube, where craft beer has been served since 1974.

The self-guided tour thus begins at this pioneer of Basel craft beer, takes a short detour into the world of international beer specialities and finishes up with a visit to an innovative and experimental brewpub. Seven different beers in tasting sizes await you.

Important information

Please note that the capacity of the partner establishments makes it impossible for large groups (more than six people) to book the tour. For groups of five or six people, please reserve a table at Restaurant Fischerstube in advance by sending an e-mail to info@restaurant-fischerstube.ch or by calling +41 61 692 92 00.
This tour is available for guests from 16 years of age.
The tour can be taken from Tuesday to Saturday (excluding public holidays). Please reserve a table at Restaurant Fischerstube in advance if you want to take the tour on a Friday or Saturday.
This is a self-guided tour without a guide. You complete the tour on foot, and we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes.
At Restaurant Fischerstube, you present your printed booking confirmation or show the staff your e-mail confirmation on your smartphone.
Should you not be able to complete the tour (or visit all of the individual restaurants) on the day booked, you may also choose another day. In this case, be sure to pay attention to the availability of the tour.
Participating in the BeerTour does not guarantee a seat at the respective locations. You may have to wait for a free seat, or it may be necessary to sample the beers at the bar.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic safety regulations, there may be capacity restrictions, wait times or other safety requirements that need to be met.
