Through the Sahara of mountains - a hike through the Val Plavna promises its very own charm and stands out for the Pradatsch plain and the beautiful forest paths

Through the original Val Mingèr and the Val Plavna to Tarasp. 2nd stage of the Via Natürala.

The PostBus takes you from S-charl to Val Mingèr in a few minutes. At the valley entrance to Val Mingèr, the trail leads over the dam wall directly into the National Park. Caves carved into stone appear on the left hand side, the head of a witch can be seen. Idyllically along the course of the brook, the path leads uphill to the resting place Punt Mingèr. The meadow at this resting place is home to many marmots, while on the opposite slope, especially in late summer, many deer graze. The path leads west to the passage Sur il Foss. From here the path leads steadily downhill to Alp Plavna and further out into the long Val Plavna towards Tarasp. The plain near Pradatsch, also called "la Sahara", has its own special charm. Here the stream is often not visible under the scree - you only hear it rushing underneath you. As soon as the forest becomes denser, the Alp Laisch appears. From here, the path descends steadily, passing Resgia Plavna via God Plan to the destination of the hike in Tarasp Fontana (PostBus connection to Scuol every hour).
