S. Silvestro chapel in Vallunga

The S. Silvestro chapel in Vallunga (Selva): small and graceful, just a couple minutes' walk from the parking spot at the entrance of the Vallunga. For a very long time this chapel, consecrated to the patron saint of cattle, has been visited by many people as a place of prayer. 300 year old frescos which depict the life of Jesus Christ were discovered during chapel renovation.
In the cemetery of Selva lies a memorial chapel for mountaineers who met an untimely death on the Dolomites in Val Gardena. Their names are listed in a big copper book.
