Summer in the mountains
The high plateau of Melchsee-Frutt, situated in the heart of Switzerland, is ideal for eventful holidays, day trips for individuals or groups of any kind. The area stretches from 1080 to over 2000 m and is not far from the tourist centres of Lucerne and Interlaken.

The holiday region can be easily reached by public transport (train to Sarnen, then post bus via Kerns and Melchtal to Stöckalp). From Stöckalp (1080 m), where there is a large free car park for private cars, there is a gondola lift to Melchsee-Frutt.

Throughout the summer season it is possible to stay in hotel rooms, tourist camps or in holiday flats. From July to October, hiking and fishing weeks are offered in the family-friendly hotels, which, like the small, cosy holiday chalets, are concentrated around the mountain station of the gondola lift.
