AVU Alta Via dei Lupi | Stage 5B Trinità - Colle Ovest del Sabbione

From Trinità di Entracque 1084 m, travel along the Bousset valley along the carriage road that passes Tetti Porcera and ends at the bridge of the same name (1078 m): from here the long M5 dirt road begins which passes the Ponte del Suffiet (1184 m), touches the Gias Ischietto (approximately 1350 m) and ends at Gias Valera Sottano (1517 m).The following mule track leads to a crossroads at an altitude of 1583 metres. where on the left the branch for the Passo della Mena M24 branches off (Completion Stage 5D). Keeping the orographic right, continue the climb along the Sabbione M5 valley, passing through Gias Adreit (1643 m) and Gias della Culatta (1864 m) and constantly halfway up the hill you pass the confluence of some watercourses and reach it leads to the opposite side, where the climb becomes more direct and important. At an altitude of 2130 m. approximately to the left comes the branch that leads to the Colle Est del Sabbione M5B: keeping to the east with an uphill climb under the ridge between the two hills you reach Lago della Vacca (2260 m), then with a final short climb the Colle Ovest del Sabbione (2328 m).
