The majestic Dachstein forms the impressive backdrop for a truly exceptional winter sports experience on the border of Upper Austria and SalzburgerLand. At the glacier foothills of the legendary mountain massif, the award-winning Dachstein West ski area is an Eldorado for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

The ski resorts of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg, the surrounding villages of Bad Goisern, Hallstatt and Obertraun in the Inner Salzkammergut, as well as Abtenau and St. Martin am Tennengebirge in the Lammertal valley, offer impressive scenic beauty and a wealth of sporting activities such as skiing, snowboarding, freeriding, ski touring, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, horse-drawn carriage rides and much more.

Skiing pleasure, naturally
The ticket association with 8 ski areas offers 160 kilometres of pistes, a cross-border piste experience with all amenities such as state-of-the-art mountain lifts, perfect snowmaking and the 44-kilometre "Dachstein Tour" ski pleasure circuit. In between, cosy huts tempt you to take a culinary break. The snowshoe trail in Gosau or the Atomic Backland ski touring route with equipment hire in Russbach offer a change from alpine skiing.

For the whole family, of course
While the older ones enjoy their runs on the piste highlights and in the new Family Park, the little ones can make their first turns between funny mascots in one of four children's areas. Perfectly groomed pistes, conveyor belts, racetracks and other attractions will delight the whole family.
