Dorfgastein - at the entrance to the Gastein Valley - has retained its traditional village character. With its cosy atmosphere and local customs it provides everything for a lovely holiday along with all that its wonderful natural surroundings have to offer.

Those who love sport can enjoy marvellous hikes on the surrounding peaks along with the shelter of Alpine restaurant chalets or can go mountainbiking, paragliding and flying kites. Perfectly prepared cross-country skiing tracks, downhill runs into the valley for young and old where there is sure to be snow, exciting Carving and naturally relaxed snowboarding in the Dorfgastein/Großarl skiing area mean that there is something for everyone.

And to round off a perfect day on the mountains, you can relax in the Solarbath Dorfgastein, Alpentherme Bad Hofgastein or Felsentherme Bad Gastein.

We particularly cater for families miniature train, water slides in the Solar Area, children's adventure ski slope and in Summer the Gasti Children's Club (www.gasti.at) where the little ones can really have their fun.
