Obertilliach / Lesachtal

Obertilliach has become an important tourist locality in Lesachtal valley without losing the charm of a Tyrolean mountain village. Traditions and customs still have great significance and farmers cultivate this wonderful recreational landscape.

In the 70s the historic centre of Obertilliach has been listed in order to maintain the old buildings for future generations. The hamlet Haufendorf is a real juwel. It is situated in a very sunny place near a huge alluvial cone. To its south-east countless hay huts and the chapels of St. Helena and St. Nikolaus form the distinctive landscape of Obertilliach.

New is the ‘Bergwiesentrail’, which winds its way from Golzentipp to Dorfberg with great views and is a MUST for every mountain biker!
