The Kuenringersettlement from the 12th century - its founder was called Swidger- is located at an altitude of 633 meters. The municipality consists of 21 settlements and has 2245 inhabitants. The poet Robert Hamerling was enthusiastic about the place as well as the surroundings and was drawing a mythological sketch of the landscape.
