Forchach is located at the entrance to the Lech Valley, about 14 km from Reutte. The valley features a beautiful wide section of the Lech River and offers a peaceful setting.
What can you expect in and around your holiday destination Forchach?
The second-fastest river in Europe and a nostalgic suspension bridge, 75 m long, dating back to 1906. The last wild river landscape in the Northern Alps with its untouched floodplains. A cycling adventure trail of up to 50 km. A central starting point for excursions and hikes into the mountain world of the Lech and Tannheim Valleys, as well as to the nearby Bavarian royal castles and other attractions.
In winter, 15 km of well-maintained cross-country ski trails lead through the beautiful, unspoiled landscape along the Lech River, with connections to the Lech Valley trail network and the Reutte holiday region. Hiking opportunities include routes across the suspension bridge, past wildlife feeding areas, and into the picturesque “Feldele” area. An ice-skating rink and a curling lane are also available for sports and fun. The nearest ski lifts are only 5–10 km away.
