With a water surface area of over 10 km³ of water surface area, Möhnesee is the largest reservoir in the Sauerland. There are plenty of opportunities for a varied holiday and leisure experience.
A wide range of water sports: swimming, sailing, surfing, paddling, fishing, diving, as well as raft-building and raft-sailing, and dragon boat racing. Three sailing and surfing schools are based at Möhnesee.
Cycling: from leisurely to challenging. There is a well-signposted network of cycle paths, providing ideal conditions for varied cycling tours through the countryside.
Hiking: Explore the Arnsberger Wald Nature Park. The hiking trails lead through the forest, along the lake or over the Haarstrang, which offers beautiful views.
From the ice sports centre to the 18-hole golf course, there are many other sporting activities on offer. Welcoming hotels, inns, guesthouses, holiday flats and campsites, as well as numerous restaurants, invite you to relax and enjoy yourself.
